Purpose of Funds
With your financial support, CASA can continue to recruit, train and support dedicated volunteers to advocate for child victims of abuse and neglect who are too young to speak for themselves during the complicated maze of legal proceedings. CASA’s ultimate responsibility is to promote safe, permanent homes.
It costs us approximately $1,600 to provide an abused and neglected child with a caring CASA volunteer who will fight for their basic human rights. Small dollars when you consider that more than 70% of the US prison population was once in foster care, or that 75% of all children involved in human trafficking were once involved in the welfare system.
The fact that you can change the odds for a child in foster care with just $1,600 makes the dollar amount seem minuscule. You simply cannot put a price on the life of a child.
